is a document used to make changes to a product without altering its design. MCOs are often used to change the approved manufacturer list (AML) or the manufacturing processes for a part. MCOs are often used in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), which are used to make design changes to a product. When an MCO does require a design change, it will usually be accompanied by an ECO.
